Why didnt they save that baby whale instead of killing it ,seaworld maybe?

For one Seaworld would have no enclosure in which to house the baby. Secondly it was a humpback whale, much larger than anything at Seaworld and much less commercially viable or attractive to visitors.

Also humpback whales eat krill and other small creatures which would be much more difficult to source than the usual fish fed to the toothed whales at Seaworld

Next the baby whale would need to be feed with whale milk. Other milk would not do as the humpback whale contains 50% fat in order to sustain such a giant animal.

Also the baby whale was in Australia so how would they get it to America?

And finally how can you justify putting such a beautiful wild creature in a hideously confined and detrimental environment. Instead of living without dignity and at the hands of feckless and cruel human beings, maybe it is better to allow an animal that is already brain damaged from lack of food, be put down and put out of its misery.

You are thinking in an overly humanised way and seem to think that human kind is the answer to all problems, instead of the cause of many.

How could they have nursed it? I think the baby would have slowly starved to death.
