  1. The Suez invasion by France, Britain, and Israel was a bad idea, badly executed. It was old fashioned gunboat diplomacy in the postwar world. Britain did not have the financial resources to maintain her empire, exhausted after two world wars, and this episode showed it.

Eisenhower did Britain a favor pulling the plug on this adventurism which came at a terrible time of unrest in the Soviet satellites in Hungary and Poland. The invasion took the spotlight off Soviet atrocities.

  2. UK and France were just plain wrong. If we'd taken the same position instead of letting BP and Aramco talk us into being stupid in Iran, the world would be a much nicer place now.

  3. because you attacked our capital in 1812

  4. & let Egypt becomes an imortal enemy of yours & us? I don't think so. Thigns are better now for everybody. This year I personally met John Major with the CFO of the largest telephone company in Egypt (Vodafone) & some guys from Morgan Stanly. This would not have been possible if we didn't do what we did in the Suez crisis, & if we didn't join forces with the Egyptians & other countries during the 1st Gulf War.

  5. I'm still bitter about the Stamp Act.

  6. Who didn't support you in the Triparite Aggression?

  7. Because I wasn't born yet

  8. Why DID you support us in the Iraq War? You should have told us to **** off like we said to you in the Suez Crisis.

  9. ma
