  1. To stay warm because the pool is cold and if their muscles get too cold they will tighten, and their dives are too close together to risk them tightening. They also have a hot tub.

  2. To maintain their flexibility. The water is warm so it helps keep the muscles warm and loose. The pool they dive into is most likely the same temperature as the pool the swimmers compete in. Swimmers swim in water that is much colder than a diver would prefer.

Divers are also in and out of the water more frequently that swimmers so their bodies notice all the temperature changes, from dry to cold & wet to warm, to dry and all over again.

  3. See I knew if I stayed on long enough this morning I would learn something.  Thanks.  I wondered why they showered too.  So its to keep their muscles warmed up.  Good idea.

  4. To get the chlorine off their bodies, and to warm the muscles for the next dive. =D

  5. to get the clorene off of them as fast as possible and so their muscles wont be cold for their next dive. and yes, i know i spelled clorene wrong =P

  6. To warm up their muscles from the cool water.
