Why do 2 liter bottles of diet caffeine free Pepsi always overflow ?

I have found that 2 liter bottles of diet caffine free pepsi once opened start to fizz and often continue to until flat rendering the soda useless. Anyone know why this happens?

It wont always happen, just make sure it is sitting in a still place for awhile before you open it, try not to open it right after you get out of the car.

If you really want to see it fizz, drop a mento in a 2 liter diet coke bottle...it shoots up like crazy! (try that one outside for sure)
