  1. Could it be something as simple as this?   A building contractor builds a building with doors on it---the locks come with the doors----not too many doors that are used for entrance and exit doors were made WITHOUT locks on them because doors were made for EVERY BUSINESS and EVERY BUILDING.... not just the ones open 24 hours.

  2. State law, I'm assuming. In case they change hours, possibly shut for a day, or sell to somebody else.

  3. for when they shut on Christmas day and Easter Sunday!

  4. They still have to shut for part of Sundays, don't they?

  5. To avoid being robbed, so they sell through the little window. I think its because somepeople feel vunrable at night, i know i wouldnt let someone in my shop at night, they could be a shoplifter(night time would be quieter time for them to "work") or they could be a really drunk person and that they could get agressive.

  6. these 24 hr shops are not open on some holidays eg: christmas  and easter , therefore locks are required ......

  7. For the same reason that people buy insurance.

You may never have to use it (like car or homeowner's insurance), but you'd be a fool not to have it.

  8. It's just standby for the unexpected emergency purpose, like?havy rain storm  riots etc. And also its under government law to keep the shop safe on emergency period by looters!!!
