  1. no we dont talk too much

    how dare you insult us!!!!

  2. i often wondered that too my daughter

is now 20 and still can't stop talking

  3. My 4 year old talked from the moment he got up until he went to bed the other day. I thought I would go mad. Then I thought to myself, what if he didn'ttalk? Or what if God took him from me? Then where would I be. Afterall, I do the same thing!

    :)

    Just curious I guess.

  4. Inheritance from their Mother ?

  5. Excuse me ? Of course we like to talk for fun , you do it to !

  6. Because you never have anything to talk about. Pretty simple. If you talked and led the conversation there wouldnt be this problem.

  7. it gets worse...my husband is 68 and he talks no stop....but he is the best i love him.

  8. prob for attention

  9. Hey enjoy it my son Thomas is 10 next week and has severe autism ..he is unable to say anything :(

  10. Eh...enjoy it, when they get to be 12 to 18 they stop talking to you all together! 8 yr olds seem to talk a lot because they're in grade school, there's a lot going on, lots of friends, things happening....and they want to tell you about it! When they're little they dont say enough words & you want them to talk more....when they're around 8 they talk to much, and once they get to MS & HS & hit puberty, they dont want to talk to you at all! Just listen :)

  11. When they are young they ask many questions, because they are in the learning stage. When they get older or turn teens, they won't have time for you, so enjoy them now.

  12. They are just getting command of language skills - debate and so on (alright arguing!) and are enjoying getting a response!

  13. i wish i knew how to make them shut up my son is 8 and it never endds

  14. It's what they do. Just pray they get to 9 before you throttle them.

  15. I wish i knew. My 8 year old daughter talks ALL DAY! It drives me crazy. Her older siblings weren't like that but she is.

  16. my son is 5 we were told he would never talk but they the docs were wrong he talks non stop. every now and then I hate it but I am always so so so thankful that he talks like a normal child.  Many moms would kill just to hear 'mommie'

  17. god oh jeez idk but it is soooo annoying though isnt it?!?!!!

  18. 'cause they are curious & interested in the world around them absorping all knowledge.

  19. *~*TYPICAL CASE, however, not always true*~*

~the gaps are just semi-neutral periods that can go either way...usually we tell you the big events but we don't just talk.~

b/c kids have a certain amount of talking to their parents to get in b4 we die. we use about half of it b4 we turn 10(when we are proud to call you mommy). then we use almost none of it between the ages of 12-17(we make really good friends and divulge everything to them). at 18 we sorta pick it up again(we're graduating soon, going to college, maturing and realizing u love us), then at 26 we start telling you all the important stuff again(really missing you b/c we've probably moved out by now, and having momentous occasions frequently, or we just want to talk).

    *~so enjoy us when we're eight~*

  20. at that age they start noticing things more, you know, there "habitat" you might call it. this is also the very start of drama in school. this is also the age find out about SOMETHING.... =]

    they are just curious

  21. why do parents ask stupid questions like this

  22. Because they have nothing better to do.

At 8, you're not really a cute little kid anymore but you aren't old enough to do p*****n or teen type stuff, so you are forced to jabber on and on, endlessly.

    It's a really weird age.

  23. Oh don't worry.. when they're 16 they won't say a word to you.

  24. Sounds like my daughter...........she can talk for ever...sometimes she makes my head spin. Honestly she doesn't shut-up til she goes to sleep. How i remember waiting for her to say her fist words.

I think she talks alot because she is like a sponge for knowledge. She asks some of the most interesting questions that I have no clue of the answer so we look it up on the Internet. I don't know how parents lived without the Internet. I guess they would just make up an answer.
