Why do Aberdeen only appear to raise their game against Rangers? ?

Is it not time to drop the animosity thing over the Simpson, Durrant thing?. Do you think that Calderwood will keep his job, or is his Jacket on a shoogilly peg.

I dont think they did yesterday. I have seen them play far better. First half they were dreadful second half they improved by closing rangers down but still created very little. Rangers only have themselves to blame for not winning as they should have been 2 or  3 up at the break so no point in moaning about a dodgy linesman call.

think you are being a little unfair to Aberdeen here Saoirse...the way I see it Rangers have come up against easier competition in their first 2 matches..they were lucky to scrape past Falkirk to be fair.

when they came up against good opposition they were left wanting. and before I am jumped on from a great height I said the same for Celtic vs Utd.

Over confidence played a major role... they must stop thinking that Mendes is going to get them through, 1 man doesn't make a team and he sure didn't yesterday.

It makes me laugh when people describe them as a big team.  I personally hope they get relegated, not least as one of their players was responsible for ruining the career of one of the best young players this country has produced in recent years, yet their fans gloat about it. They have no hope of winning anything for the forseeable future, and that is quite fitting.  Their obsession with Rangers overshadows everything else.  Sad and pathetic.  

When the fixtures V Celtic come up, why not just give the players the day off, award Celtic a 5-0 win, and save the bother of walking onto the pitch ?

its been that way for years saoirse and its not going to change anytime soon....i think calderwood will keep his job just now they played ok yesterday and lee miller looks a good wee player..we will see if they keep it up against other teams..

just to add i don't think we were overconfident we played well and deserved a win...and we don't base our team around mendes...far from it...all of the midfield played well yesterday and but for a dodgy decision it would all have been different..

SAOIRSE You are like Ade says being extremely unfair to Aberdeen. Are you hitting the heights after Killie's 3rd place, wait until you play one of the top 5 from last season. Anyway have you ever thought that it is Rangers who raise there game? Or do you just read gutter press rags that portrays this story? cause that is where it all comes from.

To be honest i expect better from you, Where are you getting the Simpson, Durrant thing? you get thowen out of Pittordie if you sing that now, i suppose its back to the paper with that one? Aberdeen were terrible yesterday, got one chance and scored which gave them enough of a boost to hold on for the draw, its hardly raising there game is it now?

Poppycock,do you seriously think a manager would send his team out to play differently against rangers than he would Celtic,he supports rangers,so does his assistant ,they use to play for rangers,Calderwoods dad still lives in Ibrox and attends games there,All this pisss about them only trying against rangers is c**p,Saoirse look at the last 5 seasons and i bet you Aberdeen have taken more points off Celtic than they have Rangers.
