Dr. King for example wanted us to be equal, treated the same with the same oppurtunities and not only that but he wanted us to unite and to get along.

Malcolm X and Huey Newton were a little more extreme in their approach but they still faught for problems that were really there.

Al and Jesse make a mochery of the whole civil rights movement and everything these revolutionaries of the past stood for.

I thought the whole point of civil rights is to being the people together, not keep tearing them apart but maybe I'm wrong?

  1. Read "1984".

  2. Sharpton's an opportunist... the SNL appearance shows he's got a sense of humor about it, Jackson is still riding King's coattails, and his claim to fame with Operation Breadbasket is lost to history (Sharpton was involved in that, but as a teen..) They're both using  the Rev. title and non profit as a means not to pay the IRS though.

They're both archaic but still a media draw... need to be in a museum at this point.  However, Sharpton's been really critical of Obama as not having done anything for black Americans.

Funny thing about Obama is that his background is almost identical to Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine. They both went to Harvard at different times, are from mixed marriages where one parent was a native African (Morello has far deeper political ties than Obama... he was also an aide to Cranston). But Morello is a little too extreme at times, so I don't think we're going to see him in the Oval Office except as a guest.

We've already had an actor, don't be surprised if we have a rock musician in the next 20 years in office.

  3. It's a living.  What else are those two going to do now that illegal immigrants are taking all the other jobs that Americans don't want?

But the soap operas have proven that there is money to be made in stirring up sh.....

  4. Are you serious?  Do you really believe that people should survive and improve no matter the color of their skin? or their race?  I think I love you!  I was much younger when Dr. King was alive, but he believed that you should be judged on your actions, and I think that's what should be happening now!  I so hope there are many more people out there with this point of view!  Thanks for entering this question!

  5. There is money to be made in riling people up into thinking that they are being mistreated or oppressed (victims).  I doubt that Sharpton or Jackson would spend as much time as they do on their "careers" if there was not a significant amount of money to be made.

  6. I couldnt agree more!

  7. I couldn't agree more - it seems like these two do just as much to perpetuate the separation of their race than any other group and YES they are very prejudiced and bigoted. I suppose what I find more offensive is their instant summation that anyone of their race coudn't POSSIBLY be guilty of some crime, or that any incident that occurs with a person of color being arrested is instantly a racial hate crime. I teach my son the same ideology that I live by - people are people no matter what they look like, and if people break the law, they must face the consequence.  But thanks to the added insanity of the ACLU, there are no consequences for breaking the rules. Great direction for our society, huh?

  8. because both do the civil right jargon just too make themselves look like they care ! very selfish and both lack true conviction on civil rights and the fight Dr. King had to endure. phoneys is the term I put them in.. people are missing the fact that the 6 boys beat almost to death 1 boy !!!..good odds..

  9. Because at some point in the past they pretended to or actually were civil rights leaders, but they were corrupted by the spotlight and now only go where they can get attention.

  10. The idea of a populace thinking for themselves and looking beyond color scares the h e l l out of a lot of people.  Two of the ones at the top of that list are the idiots you mentioned.  I should note that the list also includes dam near every elected official in D.C.

  11. Martin got lucky and never has to see the mockery that Hajesse and Al have made of his legacy! Martin was the MAN from Birmingham. What are these two fools?

And for Jackson to have been there at the time of Dr. Kings death, yet still tarnish his memory with his corrupt actions is an abomination!

  12. WOW, you said a mouth full there!  Those 2 are the biggest racist and bigots in our country.

There only goal in life is to see how many times they can get their mugs in front of a camera.
