  2. well i'm australian and i liked tony blair because he seemed like a nice enough cool kinda guy lol

this new guy...i dont even know his name is old and weird, so i dont really like him

we choose to like or dislike english politicians by their appearance and how they talk, we really dont care about their policies lol

beofre now i'd never actually heard anyone say tony blair was bad

  3. They think he's Lionel Blair.

  4. Bring back Tony Blair anyday. Gordon Brown is ruining our lives!

  5. Tony Blair - his Heart has always been in the right place.

It's too bad that most English voters failed to appreciate him.

    When he stepped down,

they certainly got what they wished for.

  6. He supported the illegal attack on Iraq, that's why

  7. Because he was GW bush's lap dog.

  8. 1. I'm from England

    2. Tony needs to come back (good prime minister)

    3. Gordon Brown is rubbish

  9. It's because on September 11th, a sad dark day in this country, he said "We stand shoulder to shoulder with our American brothers & sisters". That went a LONG way with us. Up to then he had been nothing more than Slick Willie light over here. Liberal as all get out. But on September 11th he changed & knew that freedom the world over was in jeopardy & needed to be defended once again.

I know I keep mentioning the date of September 11th. What I mean by that is that on Tuesday September 11th 2001 America was attacked by islamic terrorists. Maybe you have heard of it. In fact on Thursday July 7th 2005 England was also attacked by islamic terrorists. Mr. Blair was NOT afraid to stand up to the murderers & knew that the fight had to be taken to them or they would continue to bring it to the streets of both America & England. Surely people in England remember all of this. It was in all the papers. If it is new to you then just click on the link in sources.

  10. Reducto:  You have Americans on this page sayin they dont know who he is

And yes there is a higher percentage of Stupid Americans than British. Look at your education rating compared to other countries. Its not even in the top 20

  11. The Americans see a youngish man with personality and he said all the right things to Bush.

We see him for what he is at almost first hand. He has lied to us, cheated us and has been led along by Bush as if he was a poodle. Hence the expression and the reputation that he had.

Cherie Blair is awful, she is greedy and underhand. I am so pleased that they are in trouble financially over the houses they have purchased. They are in negative equity.

  12. Does it matter now that he's no longer PM? I think that many Americans generally liked him because he followed many policies with the US Government especially when it came to Iraq.  Other European countries like France and Germany did not buy what Bush was selling.

  13. he talks funny

  14. because he did what they wanted him to, and not what we voted him in to do, he should stay over there.

  15. Born and Raised in Texas and i have never herd of him b4

  16. I'm American and I don't really care for him.

  17. Because he was George Bush's b*tch and did whatever he was told, like a little lapdog!

  18. Why do you think Americans wouldnt know who he is? Do you buy into that stereotype that Americans are STOOOOPID or something? Of course we know who he is.

  19. I neither liked or disliked Tony Blair but I think it's odd that no matter who is elected nobody seems to like them very much.

  20. This must have been back when the american joke for a president had more than 15 fans in the entire country. And they were BFF's.

    Personally, I've never liked him.

  21. Becuase they dpn;t have to live with his decisions and he supported Bush when they went to war.

Although, I always maintain, Blaire did some good things like solving troubles in NI, more police, better NHS.

  22. I actually don't think that many Americans really know much about Bliar, its only the fact he stood next to Baboon Bush

that he gets a little bit of recognition. Shame he just doesn't disappear without trace.

  23. Tony Blair assisted the Americans in the destruction of Iraq, based on falsified evidence. He has agreed one sided treaties with US that have significantly reduced the legal rights of HM subjects.

America has as much reason to love this Quisling as the UK does to hate him.

  24. He supported the war on terror.

I believe that is the pivotal reason and that Americans dont know anything else about him.

I also believe that Britain should have been a part of the coalition too but I believe Blairs reasons were those of sycophancy towards President Bush.

  25. Because they only see him as the guy who sucked up to Dubbya when America had few other allies. They didn't have to put up with is boorishness or c**p policies!

  26. Maybe some are naive enough to be conned by a smarmy smile and an ingratiating manner.  People see what they want to see.

  27. I think that many of them just assume that he was George W Bush's butler.

They're all waiting with baited breath for the auto-biography to come out and reveal all the juicing sleaze from the Whitehouse.
