  1. I guess I don't trust whats in the tap water. Depends on where you live too.

  2. Speaking as an American myself I think I am qualified to say we are lazy and fall easily for advertising who says that we "need" it because tap water can't be trusted.  Truth is, and the bottling companies were recently caught on this, is that most of the bottled water *is* tap water.  lol

Funny enough, soon after this news broke they started coming out with these vitamin and protein waters.  Oh well if you don't need regular bottled water anymore then *surely* you must need $2 a bottle VITAMIN Water.  Oh yes, and we buy that up by the case load now.

  3. convenience.

    advertising.

    repeat.

  4. It depends on where you live. The city I grew up in has become WAY over developed over the years, and they've resorted to digging abnormally deep wells for drinking water......so deep that the water has illegal levels of radon in it, and yet people are still drinking it.

Other than that, if I'm out somewhere, and happen to stop at a gas station and get something to drink, sometimes I buy water just because I don't feel like drinking soda, energy drinks, juice, etc...

  5. We do sports and the disposable water bottles are easier and we are usually on the run so no time to fill up a plastic bottle.

  6. Tap water tastes like c**p, and if you have hard water like our old house you'd see ALL the calcuim around the faucets and wonder what it would do to your body??? No thanks

  7. Because they are not all that smart. People pay for convenience, that's about the jist of it.

I refuse to spend money on water, unless I have to, like when traveling long distances. It's such a waste and rip-off.

  8. Because the big money hungry companies pollute the people into thinking they are getting "better" water by purchasing bottled water when in all reality most tested bottle water was just as good if not worse as tap water. Plus all the bottled water consumption is hurting our environment as the bottles just sit in landfills.
