I dnt think they do it on purpose. its just when u meet the right person then u go 4 it. its not always about the looks.

sometimes the more attractive guys can be a lil cocky and big headed. It gets tiring after a while. Us beautiful women try to find someone who would love us 4 who we r and not for wat we look lyk. the same goes for guys

Because in marriage it's not the physical appearance that matters the most. The same goes for attractive men marrying less attractive women. Do you know the saying "Love is blind"? Well, that applies to that. Not that we can't see if a person is ugly or not. Love sees what no other person sees... thus the other person labels the person in-love as "blind". Physical appearance would be in the infatuation part. Marriage requires more than infatuation to work all the way.

Did you READ the article?  The author gives the answers right in the first paragraph.

If, as much of the research says, women look for security in relationships, then they will seek out guys who (they think) have the characteristics that provide security.  We all know people who aren't much to look at but have "great personalities."  Why do they have great personalities, because they have to to thrive in our social world -- and thus our gene pool.  Along the same lines, we all know truly hot men and women who treat members of the opposite s*x like <expletive deleted>.

They don't NEED to be supportive to get a little action.
