  1. They are about quality ice cream, not quantity.

  2. Because they think they are the best and people should have to pay 5 bucks for a few scoops of their cold milk and ice.

  3. It would be good to get larger tubs but I notice in my local Tesco the better quality ice creams all seem to come in small tubs.

  4. I kinda think that's a good thing though, I'm one of those 'h**l yes I am finishing this tub' whilst crying simultaneously about the amount of calories I'm consuming. Yeah, it's definitely a good thing. =]

  5. they do it to make more money rip of

  6. Yeh! They should! hehe...YUM

  7. h**l yeh they should come in 1 litre tubs, that would be wkd, although im sure it'l be no good for your health lol.

I like ben and jerrys better then haagen daz!!!! x

  8. So they can charge more and say it's a luxuary! Would be great if they came in bigger tubs but then I might eat too much!

  9. God, i had this exact conversation yesterday with my friend over a tub of Ben and Jerry's cookie dough ice- cream (yummy).

We came to conclusion that people would be put off by the price.  It's more expensive to buy a tub or b&j or Haagen Daz than it is to buy a big tub of regular ice-cream.

  10. That would be nice, but paying $15 for a thing of ice cream might seem a bit much.

  11. are you jokeing? have you seen the calories in those thing? theres like 1500kcals to 2000 in each tub- thats like a whole days worth of food, any more and I would think its actually illegal for them to sell!!

  12. It's how they make so much money...marketing people love to s***w you, get used to it.

  13. Well seeing once I start eating a pint of it I can't stop, then I eventually eat the whole thing. So I'm guessing if there were big boxes available i'd be a cow, they would milk me and make more ice cream.

Don't worry I think Ben & Jerry have there reasons.... They are brilliant!

I'd be Karamel Sutra btw lmao.

  14. Well ive read up and the particular small tubs were originally meant for the cinemas only and it still is in the right cinemas but it just spread because it was popular i guess :P hope i helped

  15. I think they come in small tubs so you buy more tubs with each tub being $5.00. If they made bigger ones no one would buy them because it would be a high price tag.

  16. this sounds crazy, but an actual serving of ice cream is about how much is in one of those little tubs.

maybe that's why, or maybe they just want you to keep buying it. :P

  17. Their pints cost as much as 1/2 gallon of other ice creams .... many people don't want to play $8-$10 for `1/2 gallon of ice cream.   Try Breyer's, which is all natural (only cream, sugar & fruit) instead;  once you read the ingredients listed on the side of Ben & Jerry's, it will scare you away!

  18. if they were any bigger we wouldnt be able to afford them!! hahahaha!!

  19. They like average people to carry it home. They should be available in one litre tub and four litre tub.

  20. The F.D.A would pull them off the shelves for selling something with That many calories in a single container.  That would be like diabetes in a 'tub'.

  21. If they were available in bigger sized tubs they would be more expensive and i guess they thought no one would buy them when they are £9 a tub cos they are quite expensive to buy in the little tub arn't they. But i feel your pain lol i love haagen daz best though

  22. yes the should be available in one litre tubes and because they want you to buy more and waste your money !! haha piece out hope i helped

  23. So u dont get fat!

  24. i cant even imagine how much a big one would cost!

those little ones cost more then 1/2 gallon tubs

  25. because we could not afford it if it came in a bigger tub.  They supposelly use only the best ingredients.  The cream they use is very high in fat which makes it very creamy and smooth and the higher butterfat percentage the more expensive the cream is.
