Why do Blank guns cost so much when all they do is imitate the sound of a real gun being fired?

For the money it cost to buy a fake one i could by one that actually SHOOTS....????

  1. They cost almost as much as real guns because, with the exception of a functional barrel, a blank gun contains a version of every part a real gun has. Although blank guns are made of lesser strength metals than a real gun, the steps necessary to manufacture the parts are basically the same as in a real gun, thus the near-equal expense.

    A blank gun DOES actually shoot... it shoots BLANKS. Most blank guns are sold to European and Asian collectors who's countries do not allow the ownership of real guns. They are available in America as a curiosity and collectible simply because there are people here who'll potentially buy ANYTHING.  


  2. Because it goes through the exact same process of manufacturing as a real firearm does.
