Why do Brewers fans rip on the Cubs?

They act like they have something to brag about. They've never won a World Series title (Braves don't count), they haven't even sniffed the playoffs in 25 years and last time I checked they collapsed last season and watched the Cubs take the division. I don't know about you, but I'd rather have a World Series 100 years ago and still see the playoffs every now and again then have 25 straight years without a playoff appearance and a fat goose egg in my trophy case. Maybe you guys should think twice about ragging on another team when your team is nothing to brag about.

  1. Everyone rips on the Cubs. Add in how well they've been playing this season and division rivalry, and you've got your answer.

  2. Actually the Cub fans don't have room to talk much about their team even though they have made play offs but without a World Series title in 99 years, the few play off appearance don't mean as much without a trophy & yes the Brewers haven't won one either so why all the complaints.  Neither team has won a World Series.

  3. Why not? The reason the Brewers haven't been in the playoffs in 25 years is because they are a small market team. They don't have the money the cubs do. The cubs rake in the money hand over fist and yet they have very little to show for it. They are the laughing stock of MLB. 100 years and counting. Sad. And why do cub fans rip on the White Sox? You cub fans are all hypocrites! You complain about how you get no respect and then you turn around and give no respect to anyone else. Enjoy your season while it lasts. (which won't be nearly as long as most of you people think)

  4. Because it's a rivalry, of course. Since when were people totally logical when it comes to a sports rivalry? The two biggest rivalries in my sports life are Virginia Tech/Univ of Va and Redskins/Cowboys (me being for the former in both cases) and there's a lot of illogical loathing going on in both cases, and in both directions.

  5. Wooo Hooooo , give yourself the best answer ,Touche', what he said my sentiments exactly

    JEALOUSY,MY FRIEND,JEALOUSY

  6. I've answered this question a few times on answers before, so I guess I'll answer again... Here we go.

    1. Every year is somehow the year the Cubs will win it all

B.S. Stop saying it's your year and show us

    2. When the year flops and it wasn't your year, it wasn't the fact the team started to suck, it was the d**n goat!

             A goat? Are you serious?

    3. One of my favorites....wait for it....we rip on cub fans because...hmm, you rip on us??

             Do I need to explain?

As far as having no World Series titles, do the Milwaukee Brewers yearly say we are going to the World Series and win? No. Brewer fans (myself included) have gotten used to the Brewers losing, and when they have good seasons, we get excited. Why don't you just pay attention to the Cubs season instead of what people think of your team.

  7. You are correct October, BearsBullsCubs does just come here to whine.

Brewers fans rip on Cub fans because that's what fans do.  Fans from every team rip on their rivals...not too tough to figure out.  Cub fans have to quit with the whole "high and mighty" way of thinking.  You guys hate just as much as any other fans.  And to be honest, if you took Yahoo Answers as your guide, Cub fans are the biggest group of haters in baseball.

  8. Because Cub fans rip on Brewer fans..there is no perfect fan don't act like your team and thier fanbase is perfect that makes you look as bad as the fans you're ripping on

  9. And to think that I sometimes wonder why I get labeled as a bandwagon fan, or unintelligent. I'm a Cubs fan who worries first about the Cubs, and the only real interest I have one way or another in the Brewers is how far behind or ahead they are in the standings. And to be fair, I do see a lot more Cubs fans coming in here and simply raving about a team that right now hasn't won a d**n thing. I truly think there are a lot more Cubs fans who come in here and ask questions like this then there are fans of any other team, including the Red Sox and Yankees. Then these same fans wonder why they are hated. And sorry - but the old excuse that Milwaukee has only been in one World Series is actually an indictment of the Cubs - they got to one sooner then the Cubs despite the fact that the Cubs had already gone 24 years without sniffing a World Series berth before the Brewers (or Seattle Pilots) even played. Getting in the playoffs is great, but the bottom line is you need to win championships. I'll trade one World Series for a dozen division championships or wild card berths any day.

Maybe it would be best to worry about being more concerned about how the Cubs finish the season then whether or not other people love them. I'd rather win and be hated then continue to be "Lovable Losers".

  10. I know how you feel. Whenever the people at school start talking about baseball, they always start ripping the Cubs, both Brewers and White Sox fans. And I point out the whole "The Brewers haven't been in the playoffs for 25 years," And they're like "SO!!! The Cubs haven't been in the WORLD SERIES in 100 years!"

And you know what's worse? The Sox fans and the Brewers fans gang up on ripping us!!!

I can't stand it sometimes! Even after the Cubs swept the Brewers, the fans STILL think that their heavenly Sabathia alone can win the division.

    Answer: he can't.

  11. The fan of the team who is historically known as the biggest loser in sports history ripping on a team that has not won anything significant. This is like the blind guy making fun of the deaf guy for being a handicap.....

Why do Cub fans care so much about what others think of their team. They care too much about the White Sox, Brewers, Cardinals and every other team in baseball. Worry about your own team. It must be fear of the White Sox winning it all again that scares you. Because 2005 was not that long ago.... and 100 years is pathetic!!

  12. YAH WELL LAST TIME I CHECKED U GUYS HAVENT REACHED THE WORLD SERIES IN 100 YEARS. IF MILWAUKEE HAD A BIG MARKET TEAM LIKE U WE WOULD BE THE GREATEST TEAM IN HISTORY.

  13. you whine about everything dont you?  Cubs fans are a bunch of drunk idiots, thats why.  The brewers have 40 million dollars less to spend on their team yet they are right behind the cubs.  I'd say theres a lot to brag about.  I swear, you cry and whine about everything.

  14. Because they are tired of all the **** the cub fans have been throwing out their that their so great were gonna win the world series la da da. All that $hit that nobody cares about. even if they the cubs get to the world series they will get their @ss handed to them by any American League team. Go Rays. h**l right now i would even take the yanks over the cubs and their in third place.

  15. I'm a Brewer fan  and I rip on the Cubs because the cubs have none nothing to deserve all the national media love that they receive. The have a very large market and TV/Radio contract, play in an antiquated stadium, and yet fight to compete with smaller market teams year after year. There are a few friends of mine that are legitimate and intelligent baseball fans but most Cub fans that I know are fans because they think it is a cool thing to do.

Not having won a world series in 100 years is NOT a reason to root for a team.

  16. The Cubs havent won a world series in 100 years. Thats basically like never winning one. MIL did collapse but then so did the Cubs with a sweep in the first round. LOL.....      But you seem to know the answer to your own question so why do you ask it.?

  17. The Brewers fan is jealous of the Cards v Cubs rivalry, they have no "rival" because they are basically "just there" a flash in the pan & will fade back out of the picture after a couple of years trying to compete
