  2. The British (and Irish among others) drive on the left side of the road because of history.

    90% of the population is right handed.  When the British rode horses, they could hold their sword in their right hand to swipe at others.  So horses tended to run down the left side of the road so the "righties" could swipe at each other with their cutlasses.

  5. They are driving on the RIGHT side of the road...in England, that is. It's a different country with different driving laws. If you ever drive in England or in another country in which drivers drive on the left, they would be thinking that YOU drive on the wrong side on the road.
