Why do Brits serve their beer p**s warm?

I must admit most Brit beer,stout & ales are better than American but I still prefer a cool beverage...

and whats up with half and half c**p?

  1. Well british beer is cellared.Consequently is quite cool(not chilled)Very palatable and allows the flavors the beer to tempt yout taste buds.And to retain a head,Nor are the glasses refrigerated.


  2. The half and half is to get complex flavoring. Personally I think it depends on the brew...temperature wise...red wine is best served at room temp. Stouts are best served at room temp as well....but Ale's, Ambers etc...they need to be ice cold.

    If you disagree, perhaps I can mail you a fridge so you can try it?

The same reason I ask a bartender to warm up some beer glasses for me it taste better.  In the US we think everything taste better cold.  We are wrong.  Cold red wine not so good.  Cold Ale or Stout just as bad.   By the way the half and half c**p is blending or layering flavors just like in cooking

  4. You should come here (Belgium) to have a nice "cold" beer.
