Why do Canadians never admit that they rely on the US a lot?

They need us more than we need them.

Also we have been protecting them with our military, Canadians do not do anything in the world. Yet complain about our foreign policy and how we use our military. Who will Canadians be asking for help when they need help, uncle sam who else?

Canada does not have a defence policy, oh wait they do it is wait for the US to come and save them if anything happens.

It's people like you who give Americans a bad name. Honestly, Canadians and Americans are about as close and friendly as any two countries can get. I have criticisms of both countries, so I won't get into a sandbox fight with you about which one is better. Canadians DO rely on Americans a lot, but the relationship works both ways. We export more raw resources to the US than any other country. I think you'd be surprised to find how short-handed you are on available products if Canada were to suddenly stop its exports to the south.

Militarily speaking, you don't do squat for us. Our military is relative to our population, and is comparable to to the US in terms of relative size and technology. Canadians don't ask for military help because we make it a point to not invade countries for oil. In fact, we are recognized globally as peacekeepers - and that's a reputation to be proud of.

So to sum things up, I will continue to recognize the differences our two countries have, and not respect asshats like yourself, who exist in any country.

maybe u should get ur facts straight we clean up after u like in vietnam an afganastan so that the world dont hate u as much , maybe we dont have a decent army but thats becuase we dont blow all our money on military when we could blow it on our helath care to help save our citizens and dont go off fighting ilegal wars, also where do u think alot of your oil or wood comes from? maybe oil from middle east (which ur currently stealin not blamin america u guys are great but bush admin has got to go ), were an escape for ur citizens when they need a new home , and we actually help other countries keep peace , ur our big brother and we use each other for various things , not all canadiens are bad only a select few , as well as americans ,so quit being so nieve , we rely on u as much as u rely on us , we'll help u in a time of need (when its actually needed) , an vice versa , if u came to canada to live ud see are way of life we dont worry about bein invaded or hated becuase we try and help and dont have a grudge against any country , we havnt done anything to anger anyone, But only you  it seems

I think you have not examined the situation very well. Canada has the second highest number of losses in the Afghanistan war. Canada just chooses its wars more carefully than the USA. Canada also fought in Korea and both World Wars. In fact while the USA and Britain each  took 2 of the beaches in Normandy, Canada, with 1/10 of the population o the USA took one by themselves and Canadian forces were responsible for the main breakout that broke the German lines.

As well, Canada supplies the USA with about 30% of its oil, more than any other source. The trade between Canada and the USA is almost $2,000,000,000 per day now. Yes, that is with nine zeros.

As well Canada supplies about 20% of the talent in Hollywood as well as about 10% of the US's doctors, nurses and engineers.

The US relies on most countries more than "u" would ever admit. the US government is a bunch of self-righteous hypocrites who p**s off ppl more than any other country today, ur greatness comes at a cost

e.g The US's trade with Zimbabwe (for platinum) has more than doubled in the past 4 yrs but i c George Bush critisizing Zimbabwe, telling other countries to stop trade with Zim imposing sanctions and not helping the ppl, but who gets the platinum??? "him"!!!

I am an American I live in the USA, Canadians live in Canada and have their own government with not much to do with the US.

We don't protect them - we are friendly neighbors.

So they criticize our government so do 50 other countries if we don't care about what they say why should we care about one more???

ps I don't think any Country wishes to invade or take over Canada.
