Why do Casinos?

they have too much money.. Casinos like people and businesses start acting weird when they have too much money.

Because it gives them publicity and there are always morons who want to go see whatever c**p they buy.

Now I bought a piece of dog poo that looks just like George Bush.  That was a good buy.

Because they can't advertise directly in traditional media like newspapers, tv etc. (at least not in the US, which is their main target market).

By buying weird things like that for silly amounts of money, they usually generate a bit of press and, the first few times at least made the papers and news etc. In the end it works out to be cheap advertising, paying $20,000 for a piece of mouldy toast is cheaper than buying a full page ad in a major newspaper... and it got them more coverage.
