Why do Catholics have the best ethnic food?

Mexican, Italin. Majority are catholic. I am Lutherean I admit we don't have good food. I am jealous.

And i yes I misspelled so u don't have to point it out

  1. The greatest cuisines come from a background of poverty but still wanting to create the best meals out of what you have. Creativity, love, pride and hospitality all play important parts in this.


  2. I think we are more conscienscious and feel,the need to please and my spelling is terrible also.

  3. It's the one true religion.  Sister Mary John told us so.  All good eats, except Irish food.

    There are alot of Catholics in the Philippines as well.. And there is good food there as well.. Its really good.. I was raised on the stuff..

    I do not make much Mexican or Italian foods..

    I have more Chinese than I have Irish dishes

    Lutheran's are a spin off of the Catholic church as the same as all the others christian religions from some point in time..

  10. The only way to justify this without being bias is to say maybe because Catholics are so ethnically diverse. Anyone who is baptized  and dipped or sprinkled with water by a priest can be Catholic and anyone who can go through Sunday school can take communion. I am from the Caribbean and I was raised Catholic and our pot lucks after church were always great. We had Italian, Trinidadian, Haitian, Spanish etc . So many different people.. so many yummy, different dishes and a good learning experience about some other cultures and their foods.

  11. Roman Catholicism insinuated itself into areas where excellent food already existed.  Italy, France, Ireland, South America, Spain, etc...
