Why do Christians not want to think?

Shouldn't this be a wake up call in and of itself? Why should it be possible to have read so much of something that you are starting to see reason? You are so determined to believe in something just on the in-case that it was to exist, because you are afraid of what? What they said about some imaginary bad place?

Why do people refuse to think?

They say they feel sorry for non-believers, when they're the ones who have closed their minds.

Just because some one refuses to believe in God does not make God not real. I have his Holy spirit in my heart I know he is real. I see God in his creation. I also see his handiwork in the scriptures.

Why do atheists believe that Christians do not think?

Most scientists and doctors are thinking individuals, we all assume right?  Yet most scientists and doctors believe in God.  There are thousands of Christian scientists who have contributed significantly to socieity, so why continue to perpetrate this "non-thinking Christian" deception.

As a matter of fact, a lot of atheists here seems to be above their fellow atheists, who just happen to be your average intelligence Joe.  If you are so smart then please, please, learn this:  Intellect or the lack thereof is not an indication of whether someone is an atheist or a Christian.

To see how relative this is, I can consider myself.  In all honestly, I seriously doubt someone's intelligence who does not believe in God.  Can you see how relative this is?

What about the dead that came around at night when I slept. Did some one forget to tell them they didn't exist anymore because they sure were evil and mean and nasty. Have you ever met the dead? Obviously not! Yes, you live once for a long time, Jesus stated the parable which went something like this, don't fear him who has power over the first death and can do nothing after that. I tell you whom to fear, fear him who has the power over life and after that has the power to through into h**l. I tell you this is whom you shall fear.

They don't want to think because it is easier to be sheep.  Science and Nature are the only "gods".  They rule everything about everyone!

Morals were around way before Christianity and way before organized religion.

Strangely enough the 15% to 20% of atheists in the world manage to work out a system or morality without having to look up the writings of stone age nomadic goat herders.

The Scandinavian countries and Japan are amongst the most atheistic in the world with up to 80% of the population without a religion.    If they are so immoral why are the violent crime statistics so much lower than in the US, one of the most Christian countries?

P.S. Because God is real in the same way that leprechauns are real.

I love to think, and to learn. I became a Christian as a young adult. It had nothing to do with morals. I am not afraid, nor have I read any argument that has given me reason to doubt. I think you are making some rash assumptions.

Coming to atheism is a rare event, like fossilization.  That's why there are so few of both.
