Why do Cork people talk a lot?

Is it something to do with kissing the Blarney stone. I'm originally from Cork, but I don't talk as much as they do now.

  1. Well they like to hear themselves would be a guess.


  2. The speed of their speech , and  its slang, is quite unique.

    They don't speak good Irish which is their native language.  Their English is not easily understood, so they just go on with their distinctive accent.
