Question:

Why do Democrates say the pledge of allegience?

In the pledge of allegience you pledge allegience to the flag, and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands. How can you pledge allegience to a REPUBLIC and vote for a democracy on the other hand? That is a conflict. Do you think most Americans don't even know the difference between a republic and a democracy? How could someone working to create a democracy pledge allegience to a republic unless they are seriously confused? For that matter, it would seem practical that anyone registered as a democrate shouldn't be chanting the pledge of allefience. It's just ridiculous to say you pledge allegience to the republic for which this flag stands when you are registered as a democrat.

  1. Your lack of knowledge of our constitution and bill of rights and the blatant hate you have for democrats is pretty typical of your obvious viewpoint.  We live in a constitutional republic which demands representative democracy.  Please open a book and your mind.

If you want to debate who is more patriotic, you might find after reading the constitution and bill of rights, that it would be those that fight to uphold these founding principles -- not the neoconservative idea of the American Dream which is to attain and horde as much wealth and power as possible at the expense of the country, removing anything in the bill of rights and constitution that might get in the way of that.

  2. America is a republican democracy, not a direct democracy. Why do Republicans pledge allegience to a democracy, then?

  3. Are you really this stupid? Or are you jerking peoples chain?
