Why do Dems talk about alternate energy?

like its so easy to produce? Sure oil will take a while to hit the world market...but alternative energy isn't exactly the quickest solution either...why not do both?

alot of the world blames us for global warming since we apparently use the most oil. oil is also apparently running out. this means that the prices to ship goods are increasing. when they increase it will cause the actual price of that good (for example food and clothing) to increase. if we can develop an alternate energy we can rely on we wont have to rely on other people like the countries in the middle east, russia, and venezuela for oil. we have bad relations with them already. we can also prevent global warming provide better cleaner fuels with out having to worry of the prices of things.

They hate oil companies. They hate companies earning profits. They are willing to pay more if someone else will profit from something. They are willing to earn a pathetic return on social security because some on Wall St. would profit from privatization.
