Why do Denver drivers drive 20mph on the freeway when it rains?

Ive lived in Colorado for 2 yrs now, and have been wondering the same thing. When it snows look out, they drive 60mph.

Answerguru - they drive like this when it hasnt been cold enough to ice up.

It's because CALIFORNIANS can't drive.   20 years ago before the magots sold their dumps in california and invaded colorado the traffic was fast and smooth.  They have destroyed almost everything good in calorado and are now invading us, and yes the traffic flows are showing it.  I can't wait for the senate to pass the new Tourist Hunting permits here!

Because at 30 or 35 mph, it is called "Hydroplaning."  People don't realize that when you reach this speed, your tires aren't actually coming in contact with the road surface.  Which makes it more harder to stop or slow down.

I agree people can't drive in Denver. However, it's not just limited to the rain or snow either, they drive slow in dry conditions.

If only Denver drivers would learn that the left lane is for PASSING ONLY. It's a simple concept: If you are not passing, get over!!! It's not only a logical and considerate way to drive, it's also the law. T-Rex would be a success if these people w/ their heads up their a-- would simply stay out of the left lane.

Additionally, I think it's the CO natives who are the worst drivers. They're the ones cruising 20mph in the left lane down I-25 in their oversized 1980s Ford Broncos with their "Native" + "Jesus must be a Broncos fan, why else are sunsets orange?" + "Stop global whining" bumper stickers.

They're the smart ones, they aren't going to hydroplane and end up a smear on the road.

When it snows it gets white and the snowplows come out

I live in Dallas, Texas if you come out here they'll run you over. It's seems like when it rains everybody gets blind.

PRobably the same reason Atllanta drivers do, they can't drive.
