Or they say it is a non-narcotic. Of course it isn't, it isn't a pain pill.

  1. The commercials I've heard actually DO mention that it can be habit forming, like all sleep medications.

  2. i have to agree and disagree with your question

you are correct by saying drug commercials lie and say it isnt habit forming

however...it is a narcotic. its a schdeule control 5 medication....even though its not as strong as vicodin or norco people do abuse it and ive seen cases where people will pay cash price when their insurance rejects the claim b/c they need more...

in most cases the pharmacists will NOT give it to them

  3. ambien is claimed to be non habit forming, but as any other sleep aid it definately can. it depends on the patient whos taking it

  4. well. many people become addicted to and abuse ambien so they altered it so it's not addictiing anymore.

unless i have it confused... it's not a pain pill it's a sleeping pill.

  5. They say that because ambien is only approved for short term use.  They say that it is only to be used for a max of 15 days before stopping.

At this dose and time frame, it is not supposed to be habit forming.

That is why Rx drug insurance will only copay for 15 a month.
