Why do English think all Americans are fat?

I think it is silly. I am from France and have lived in both UK and England. There are many fat people in both places. And it seems more common and more accepted in the UK. Here, look at this pageant finalist for Miss England pageant:

Because all the hotshots like kfc and mcdonalds prefer being in the US because people like to eat.But in England they have soup with bread thats why their calling Americans fat

my god is that Miss England? well british ppl think that americans eat too much of junk food and so they are fat.all over the world obesity is a problem,not just US.

From tabloids and stuff, I got the impression that you were all obese or all anorexic. But I realised your kinda like every other western country- you have a bit of both and mainly healthy people.

P.S. You can't judge a nation on two pictures and a couple of people from a city. We probably do look like we have more obese people, only because we have smaller lanf. People are cooped up together. In America, the fat roam free.

It has nothing to do with where you live.

It's has to do by the person getting fat and doesn't said where all fat people should live the same area.

The research has been done and america is a lot more obese than UK

And its just an unfair stereotype created by the english. Your stereotype of them is probably equally unfair. You probably think the whole of the UK is england and you probably think of us as posh snobs with a posh accent or cockneys.

I'mm not english but their stereotype of the welshI'mim from wales) is that we all shag sheep sdon'tnt worry :)

The whole world hastereotypepe but there are reasons behind most of them (except the sheep shaggers one   :P)
