Thay can't seem to distinguish bet. the male or female gender, hence they use he instead of she, or vice-versa.

  1. Because the Filipino language usually doesn't distinguish between the male and female gender.  They have one pronoun, "siya," which is used for both "he" and "she."  They have one possessive pronoun, "niya," which is used for both "his" and "hers."  They don't have distinct words for "boy" or "girl," they only have the word "bata," meaning "child (of unknown gender)".  When they need to specify gender, they often need to append "lalaki" (male) or "babae" (female) with a linker:

    bata: child

    batang lalaki: boy (child-male)

    batang babae: girl (child-female)

    asawa: spouse

    asawang lalaki: husband (spouse-male)

    asawang babae: wife (spouse-female)

  2. sounds almost the same and filipinos talk fast.have you ever heard them speak?

  3. The Filipinos I know usually distinguish between the sexes quite well. There might just be a few who get a bit confused.
