It is because of genuine concern over the environment.  Unfortunately, this concern is misplaced and often irrational, leading people to be environmental zealots.

In my opinion I have seen life in different ways, but when a cougar comes out of the forests and walks on the sidewalk down the street without fear, or when i kitty cat sleeps with a mouse or people's attitudes change in a flicker out of context, then i see what else global warming does. it changes attitudes. like when 2 people believe each in their own religions and one wants to force his religion on another and soon nations are at war over such stupidity. my belief is this to is the attitudes of global warming on all living things, like all the bees gone. its not anyones fault, but a cycle off its track. global warming actually started in the 1970's, but not until 2000 did it really wake me up to the facts of life. earth changes all attitudes on earth. this is normal.
