  1. you can't eat a animal shot with a camera.......that is the difference

anyone who kills for sport  only is not a true hunter and we real hunters do not condone it and there are laws against wasting game meat.......so if someone kills for fun and does not use the meat then they are considered poachers in my book and poachers are not hunters

  2. if your a real hunter, you hunt for meet. the pelt and rack is just something extra for your troubles. however, if your some city person who goes out hunting with their buddies, their just a******s taking up our woods

  3. i don't know what u mean by "sport"  like shooting a deer and leaving it in the woods?   i don't know anyone who does that..if they don't want it they give it away

  4. If you don't hunt, then you just don't know. It is the greatest feeling in the world, not just killing the animal, but when you see it and bring up your gun or bow, the feeling is amazing, and it's more addicting then meth.

  5. Beats me. I have always eaten what I have killed.

  6. well there is several reasons why hunting is put in place. first is to help control the animal population because if we didn't hunt then the population of game would go up and they would eat up all of the food like bushes and etc... and they would all starve to death because they don't have anything to eat. and two is that law requires that a hunter takes the meat of the animal. it also saves a lot on groceries so you do not have to buy other meat for a long time. and third is that it isn't really a sport. its a hunt. classified all on its own. its unlike any feeling of any sport- even paint-balling. its just a huge adrenaline rush and a thrill. its conservation. and just like we harvest corn and what not we need to harvest certain animals. and its great for the environment, because we have more bushes around.

  7. When a depression comes don't come knocking on my door!*

  8. The only difference between shooting an animal with a camera and a gun is recoil.

No, just kidding. Family hunting tradition.

I am not going to start taking pictures of Coyotes and building a scrap book.

  9. "Whats the difference in shooting a animal with a cameras and shooting with a gun?"

You can't eat a picture.  Also, a picture doesn't thin the heard or increase genetic diversity.

  10. " Society will forever judge Hunters by their Compassion for the Animals that they Hunt for and Harvest."... " Hunting is a Sport and is Fun and Enjoyable, Killing is neither Fun or enjoyable."... All life is precious to us true Hunters and Sportsman, even a rabbits to us Hunters who Hunt and Harvest them for Sport and Food for ourselves, family, friends, and fellow Hunters.* How anyone cannot consider Hunting as a Sport is beyond me.* You cannot separate Sport and Hunting, or Hunting from Sport.* Those who try to do so are sadly and badly mistaken.* Those people who Criticize, Condemn, and Complain about it have no reasonable, justifiable, credible, or valid accurate reason for doing so.* It is mistaken thinking on their part, and therefore totally inaccurate to make that assumption based on the true meaning and intent of Hunting wild game for Food and Sport.* Hunting with a camera for wild game is also a Sport, the only difference being they can bring them back alive, by capturing them on Film without actually Harvesting the Animal for Food.* Any reasonable, common sense person would realize this as a Fact.* However there are people in the World who will attempt to separate, or try to cast doubt upon others in order to put down, or attack the Sport of Hunting.*

  11. First let me say that anti hunters need to look at where the license money goes, do they use state parks or ride a mtn bike on state game lands where do they think the money came from for that the hunters that is where so if they really cared about their forests they to would buy a hunting license!!!!! let's look at the US before game laws and teddy roosevelt many animals including whitetail esp. in kansas were nearing extiction since roosevelts conservation movement and hunters need to preserve habitat many states now enjoy natures beauty I do eat the meat when I shoot an animal I have not baught a pack of hamburger in almost 20 yrs and I do have animals mounted in my house over 20 of them it is the most respectable thing I can do to preserve the animals dignity.

  12. First and foremost I am a MEAT HUNTER and have hunted all of my life. Along the way I have taken animals of record class size and have had them mounted and love having them hanging on the wall. There is alot more to hunting than pulling the trigger!!!

  13. Humans have been hunting for sport since we climbed out of the trees, probably before then too. It's perfectly natural. In fact, it's actually more natural than most things modern humans do.

NOT hunting animals in the wild on the other hand is a very recent development, only made possible by the advent of civilisation and the domestication of livestock.

So you see, from this perspective NOT hunting is a sick, twisted perversion of nature. The real question should be "Why do so many people pervert nature by NOT hunting?".

  14. I really don't know of anyone who hunts for "sport" as the tree-huggers like to say. While hunting certainly has its challenges, most people I know hunt for the meat and the enjoyment of the outdoors. I did a lot of deer hunting when I was younger, but I no longer hunt. The main reason I do not hunt is that I just do not enjoy getting up early and going out into cold weather.

  15. The difference is you can actually hold said animal in your hand at the end of the day.

  16. they may just want a part of the animal such as the pelt or they may want the joy the hunter can give the meat to another or if the meat is not fit for eating it can be disposed of

  17. hunters hunt for meat, I don't consider it a sport nor does anyone I know. It seem to me that the anti-hunters are the only ones considering it a sport

  18. VERY little sport hunting is still done in the United States.

It is a common misconception that most hunters hunt purely for sport.

Most states have laws that REQUIRE the hunter to utilize the meat from animals they kill! The vast majority of hunters hunt at least in part to supplement their family's diet. As the economy continues to worsten, and we reach an economic depression, this practice will continue to grow. Where else can you get 80 pounds of meat in the freezer for the price of a hunting license and the cost of a bullet?

    - Nowhere but the hunting woods.

    We have kids to feed.

Hamburger is now $2.35 a pound.

Do you have a better idea?

  19. Hunting for meat is one of the best things human beings can do.

Culling rodents or foxes may be necessary in some areas. It is very humane to kill these with a headshot from a rifle/ air rifle even if made in to a competative thing.

Which do you think are happier: farm reared animals or wildlife.

A rabbit which spends it's whole life free will have a  better quality of life and provide better quality meat than farmed animals.

Hunters take pride in their kills as it's very primal inside us to hunt.

Human beings who kill anything for the sake of it are vain and egotistical. If you don't eat your prey, you may as well shoot targets or stick to culling vermin instead.

  20. Quite honestly I never found a good reason for this myself so I would love to hear a good answer. I understand shooting things to eat. Or perhaps shooting animals that are causing damage. But to shoot things just to shoot them? Seems wrong to me.
