Why do I always feel mentally unstable after taking Risperdal?

Right after I take Risperdal, I feel very jumpy and unstable. And when I wake up in the morning, I feel fine again. What could this be?

this might not be the right meds for you! how long have you been on it??

try taking less a dose, or taking it right before you go to sleep, literally.

tell your dr what is going on,.

I've never felt jumpy or anything while on risperdal. It's the mornings that usually cause the most problems for me. If anything it causes me to lose a sense of myself if you can understand what I mean. The medication for me tends to stablize me rather than cause any major problems. If lowering your dose is helping then you're on the right track. If it gets worse then talk to your pdoc.
