Why do I dream about tornados?

I've had some crazy dreams. Once I dreamt that a few friends and I rented a trailer at a campsite. The guy showed us around, the last thing he said was"oh,and watch out for the raptors".When he left we heard him scream. Out the windows we could see a dozen raptors running around.

For years I've had tornado dreams, basiclly tornados coming right at me. I always survive. My childhood home riped to a 4by4 skeleton, or my boss and I running between buildings and diving into a ditch nearly avoiding 3 thin tornados. Being at a football game while a tornando rips the dome apart lifting hundreds of people into the air. Watching the clouds only to have them develop into a funnel cloud that drops right on top of me.. etc..

The most vivid-set in the1940s. In a small town,I could see the tornado coming. When it hit I dove, pushing a woman and little girl into what looked like a stairwell. It was only two feet deep.We held on to eachother until it passed. I saved there lives.

  1. Fear of tornadoes? Any link of tornadoes will probably work. Experienced one, lost a love one to a tornado?

  2. Maybe your life is not as controlled as you think it is; maybe you're afraid of letting your anger out but the dream may be telling you that if you do you will be ok--that you will survive it.

My guess is that you're not being who you really want to be or who you really are at your source.  What are you afraid to let out?  What are you afraid, that if you unleash it from within you, will wreak havoc on your life?

  3. Dreams are "thought" episodes in our subconscious mind given "life" when we sleep. You dream of tornadoes and related incidents because there are "tornadic" episodes in your subconscious stage coming from your readings, televisions, stories from other people that you heard or incidents which you personally experienced.  There are also matters that "trigger" you to think of these episodes in your sleep, perhaps personal fear of tornadoes.

  4. You are looking to get out of Kansas the hard way.

  5. Its ok. I had some strange dream too. Like i was on a ship and on that ship are full of skeletons and they raise up like undead and attack me so i have to defend myself. I attack the skeletons and they broke into piece and fall into my mouth. At the end i jump off the ship. When i wake up i almost want to throw up when remember the bones fall into my mouth.
