Why do I dream that I am single.?

Question

I am happily married. When I dream I rarely if ever have my husband in the dream with me. I usually am alone and don't think about being married. Sometimes I remember I am married, but my husband isn't around. And another times I fall in love with other men not realizing I am married.

Shouldn't my husband be in my dreams?

Not everyone dreams the same thing in exactly the same way. Who we are, how we are raised, what influences have interacted with us, all affect the type and symbology of the dreams we have.

Assuming your subconscious mind is not telling you that you are really unhappy beneath, being single in a dream can mean any number of different things. It could be that it signifies that the romantic aspect of your life is fine, and therefore you don't need to concentrate on it, and need to spend more time thinking about yourself. Also, since you are happily married, dreams are a way of exploring possibilities safely without any of the danger of physical contact. Just because you are married doesn't mean that you ceased to exist as a person. It could be that you've noticed how 'handsome' other people are, and thus your dreams are simply an escape from what you experience everyday. People who live in cities dream of being on remote tropical islands; people on tropical islands dream of living in the hip urban city. In those instances, your mind is simply taking a emotional/psychological vacation from your other half, which can be considered quite normal. It would be abnormal for someone, who is married to someone else, to also spend an inordinate amount of time dreaming about the person they are with. Can't spend 24/7 with the same person, its simply not healthy. So unless there are other issues going on in your life, I don't see what is so unusual about the way you dream.

no. simply put you dream what you dream you cant control it. If your wandering if it means something more i recommend putting some time aside to think about your husband and your marriage. In the end if your still happy then what does it matter ^.^
