  1. foot problems are commonly associated with diabetes, but that doesn't necessarily mean that that is the problem.  it could be a lot of things, like you may be kicking something (a bedpost) in your sleep, or your footwear is messing your feet up. you can get your feet sized professionally for shoes, and there are sleep labs that will monitor your activity while you sleep.

  2. I have no idea, but the same thing's happened to me for years, and only occasionally... -waits for an answer-

  3. Well I dont know but if you dont remember hurting it then it might be growing pains or something.

  4. best advice i can give would be to go see a podiatrist (foot doctor)

I had this once.  I had to wear a special shoe insert for a while until the pain went away.

  6. Depends on where you hurt at

Back of the foot, above the heel its probably your acheillies tendon

On the heel - you have chipped or broken your heel

Ankle - you could have sprained your ankle, straining the many tendons and such that are inside.  You could have also chipped or broken some of the small bones inside

Arch - could have broken or cracked your arch bone

Top of foot - lots of bones to crack/break and muscles and tendons to tear and strain

Toes - easy to break or dislocate or strain any of these

My wife recently broke a small bone near the front of her foot and had alot of pain, just from rolling her foot over on the stairs.  Had to have a split and took a long time to heal

Try to localize the pain and decide where you could have injured it at, if it does not seem to be getting better see a Doc!

  7. maybe its tendonitis...

but it depends on how you got the pain and where abouts it really hurts...
