Question:

Why do I feel like my body is floating in water (literally)?

I am on several medications for several different problems. One is Atripla for HIV, another is gabapentin for mild neuropathy, and the other is Pristiq for depression. I also take several vitamin supplements, along with a daily vitamin. I have a hard time sleeping so I take sleeping pills every night before I go to bed (generic of tylenol pm), and if that doesn't work I try some melatonin. I have been on the Pristiq now for about two months, I switched to that from Zoloft. I have been off work for a little over a month because of a worker's compensation injury, so I should be well rested. I am not! I feel tired all the time...I am still depressed...and now I feel like my body is floating along on a wave (how funny that sounds, yet how weird!!). Any one else ever have this experience, or have any suggestions??

  1. I know what you mean, but here are the causes:sleepiness,a very light headace, hunger,or overdose on medicine. My suggestion is stop taking as many pills, eat more, and go to bed a little earlier. After a while it should stop by doing those things. But seriosly, that so-called wave is a bad sign,it means your not healthy.

  2. I get the wave thing sometimes, I love it. It feels like you're in space sort of, as if there is no up or down or anything, right? I don't take anything regularly except for a vitamin, and occasional rec drugs like weed or some psychedelic. When I stop for a few days I get it when I lie down and sometimes if I sit still.

It's probably the gabapentin and and pristiq, those are actually active on your brain. Melatonin is also a tryptamine and can add to that stuff. If it doesn't bother you, there's nothing wrong... You're actually gaining sensitivity to thing that most normally don't feel.
