I mean, it would be great if I could just be alone and be okay with that. I feel like something's wrong with me. I hate going places alone. It seems like everyone else has someone, so I avoid the social places. I'm not necessarily phobic of social things, but I feel really out of place and anxious being alone.

  1. Insecurity, perhaps?  A lot of people have a fear of being alone "Autophobia".  It's not a very good thing, because people might think you're clingy.

  2. idk, i used to be like that but even when in a relationship your partner isnt ALWAYS available to do things with you or vice versa. Its important to learn to do things on your own, it will give you a feeling of independence and you wont be soo needy

  3. Two answers.

    1. Your self-esteem may be lacking.

    2. Being with someone gives you someone to talk you about what you are experiencing .  I travel a lot and, because most people don't have the flexible schedule that I have, I often go by myself. Sharing an experience makes it more pleasurable.

  4. This is a VERY common feeling, so perhaps you can take some solace from knowing you are not alone in this situation.  You need to encourage yourself to try new thing, go to new places, try to go see that hot movie, visit a new restaurant.  It can be difficult at first...but do it, in small steps.  Encourage yourself with little sayings...such as "I can do this" or "I am just as strong as anyone else, so this is not going to be that difficult for me."  Good luck!
