  1. Usually this means you are over eating. Or not eating healthy enough. Try to either consume smaller portions. Or eat healthier.

  2. eating alot of food at once makes causes your body to a high amount of insulin which makes you feel tired and lethargic, and "helps" you gain wieght hahaha

  3. I once heard this described as post prandial hypoglycemia. Blood supply diverted to the digestive system, brain not getting as much blood and therefore not as much sugar, resulting in less energy, brain tells you you are sleepy!!!

  4. you ate too much. try eating smaller portions 5 to 6 times a day but very small meals instead of 3 big meals

  5. most foods have enzymes(i think thats what they are) that enduces sleep or tiredness, for example turkey is one of the most common and plentifull of these enzymes thats why everyone takes a nap after thanks giving lol

  6. Your blood goes to your stomach to digest the food, so it leaves your brain which won't function as well which will make you tired.

  7. Hmm that is interesting, im really not sure...

  8. summer heat, dehydration, too much food and heavy food...

for lunch go for a chicken ceasar salad.....light, good stuff, you won't feel packed on it won't put you too sleep......

also too much caffine will have an reverse effect.......drink more water.

  9. I find the best example to be right after Thanksgiving dinner. (:

Yes, foods have a lot of different chemicals that are released as your stomach breaks them down. They aren't necessarily bad chemicals, but a lot of them do make you feel sluggish or tired. It's perfectly normal. The best example I can think of is turkey, so if you've ever eaten, like I said, Thanksgiving dinner, or even just a plain ol' turkey sandwich, that's why you feel sort of sleepy afterwards.

  10. Like you said its a "large" lunch you are having so the obvious answer is that its the fact you are eating TOO MUCH.

  11. its called "food comma." Basically, the blood flow increase in your stomach to digest food and less goes to the brain so you feel a little tired... don't worry, we all go through this every single day!

  12. That's because your body's occupied with digesting the food, so to save the energy needed, you get sleepy. The human body is marvellous.

  13. Because digestion uses a fair bit of energy.

  14. mabee yew gawt fat aftr eatin awla tht stuff in yer stummy so yew cant moove...justa thot !

  15. you might have diebeties.

  16. cause you ate a large meal duh

  17. cuz u ate too much lol jk. when you eat u get tired.

  18. you're body is working on digesting the food. Depending on what type of food you are eating can make a difference too.

  19. I don't know but I get sleepy especially after a really warm meal not so much after a large meal, usually a large meal I am too full too sleep.

  20. probly bc you eat turkey alot

  21. when you eat you then have to digest that food. If you eat alot your body has to digest more food. Your blood flows to your stomach/digestive track to get the job done. But, this means less blood and energy for the rest of your body. Alot of people say they feel cool after they eat -- this is because blood is flowing to the stomach. If you eat less, you will be less tired because you will have less to digest.

  22. The scientific answer is that most of your blood has to move close to your digestive tract, to digest the food. This leaves the rest of your body with just enough blood to function, hense why you feel tired. Honest, I asked my biology prof once.

  23. This is Becuase once your body consumes a large amount of food, the stomach can not digest it proparly so it tells the brain to go to sleep, so thats basicly you getting tired

  24. its your bodies way of coping with a large amount of food. Try to eat smaller meals.

  25. Because your body diverts blood away from the brain and toward digestion, making you feel drowsy.  Eating several smaller meals usually helps.

  26. b/c you proly eat meat and meat takes a long time to be digested and tends to make you sleepy. i went vegie and no longer have that problem. food also weighs you down, a lot can make you feel bloated natural body response is to sleep it off.

  27. because, first you are depressed for whatever reasons, secondly you seem to practice lots of sexual activity, if you are male...though if you could mention about yourself including your age, i could tell you more...
