Why do I feel warmer after eating chili?

Yes Yes, Chili is Hot. Why do we say it is hot? Sure its the Capsicum. This answers "what" but it doesn't answer the "why"? Why does it result in the sensation of me feeling warmer? Whats going on inside my body? How is heat being generated?
