It happens to most of my friends as well but does anyone know WHY it happens, and does it happen to you?

  1. your inner ear controls some of your sense of balance and motion... it often conflicts with your vision to give your brain differing views of what you're doing, thus causing motion sickness...

so... you're reading, and your eyes are telling your brain you're staying still... but your inner ear can feel you're moving... and you get all confuzzled...

happens really bad to me, even if I'm just riding in the car.. I need air blowing on me...

  2. I have the same problem with motion sickness.  The best thing to do (besides not reading) is to sit where I can see the road like the passenger seat.  Also you can take dramamine, but it usually puts me to sleep.

  3. Me too...it's motion sickness.

  4. Motion sickness.  I cannot read in the car at all or do anyting that involves paying attention to one certain thing.
