Why do I get red bumps?

when i shave my face i dont get these red bumps but... down there... i get these red bumps. I dont cut myself while shaving but what makes it do that? Is there a way I can get it to go away? Lotion?

razor burn. you could try lotion, but it wont make it go away. it should go away ina few days.

1] if by 'down there' you mean pubic hair, here are some tips:

2] do it after you have been in shower or tub for 10 minutes or so. Pores open a bit, and hair is softer.

3] use a fresh razor or blade EACH time for pubic hair

4] shave the direction of hair growth; then against it, then with hair growth to finish - this works!!

5] let area dry completely, and change towels 2 - 3 times a week

6] exfoliate with an apricot face scrub in between shave days
