Why do I have a ball on my left wrist?

I have this knot or ball on top of my left wrist and when it hurts me my whole left arm becomes sore and now its getting worser what can I do to stop the pain or do I need to go see a doctor or what do you think it might be?

  1. Could be a Ganglion cyst.. but have it checked out in case it is something more serious. Google Ganglion cyst for more info. Good Luck. See a doctor for sure.


  2. Sounds like a cyst. I have one inside my right wrist, but it hasn't acted up in quite a few years. The one I had on my lower back, I had cut out...twice.

  3. My father has has the same thing twice.  It is called a ganglion cyst--a cyst (fluid filled sac) that grows around a cluster of nerves.  The pressure it puts on the nerves cause pain.  They usually have to be surgically removed as an outpatient procedure.
