Why do I have a hard time connecting with people?

People tell me I'm "average looking" even the meanest girls I know even at work tell me this and that I have an "eccentric personality." But people seem to avoid me on a personal ,non-work basis since e achild. Why is that? My aunt who is a Buddist and a Dr., we are white, told me that maybe I did something REALLY bad in a past life and on a grand scale and people remember me from their past lives....OK? I had someone once tell me, I think a family Dr., that there is something wrong with me on a visual basis yet she can't but her finger on it and people have told me the same thing w/o me even opening my mouth?!>!

Looks like your letting things, that are beyond your control, control your life. Good luck with that.

I say forget about all that and live the way you want and the person you want to be.

Simple answer.  hard to swallow, but it's true.  And i mean no disrespect, only hope that you hear it out.

It has nothing to do with your looks, past lives, or karma.  This has everything to do with your personality and how you come across to others.  Dr. phil says if something happens to you all the time, the only constant is you, not the world.

So if you change yourself, you will get different results from the world.  Figure out what it is about you that turns people off and learn how to work around it.

This is a huge can of worms so you will have to do some serious research on how you can connect with others.  Consider reading self-help books on how to connect with people, there is no shame in that.  it's a skill and some people are bad at some skills and all it takes is learning..  If you still can't do it, consider therapy.  A professional can give you good advice.

You are intimidating? In this world sometimes I think that people become too preocupied with work and things like that and do not really conect with many if any people.
