Why do I have a headache everyday?

I lost like 20 lbs this summer, I am 16, I excercised by swimming everyday and watching what I eat. I came home form summer break to Chicago and stopped working out and now I have headaches everyday. I don't know why? I drink diet coke a lot and I didn't start until recently, is that why? I really want to know because its really bothering me. My mom says its cuz I stopped working out, my aunt whos a nurse said its cuz i don't drink water. I need to know why!

  1. Limit your intake of soda to 2 cans per day - caffeine free preferred.  Drink at least three 12 ounce glasses of water every day.  Get outside and active - sedentary activity can cause headaches.  Lay off the caffeine, it is not good for you and can cause headaches.

    If you are not taking a multi-vitamin, you should start taking one every day. One with B-complex vitamins preferred.

    More importantly, if the headaches persist (more than a few days), see your doctor, they might be caused by something more serious.


  2. Well if its nothing more serious, then I would say its not drinking enough water, not exercising and drinking coke (the caffeine inside). You can get headaches from not getting enough oxygen to the brain. Also looking too much at the computer screen...

  3. One thing that can give you headaches is taking something for it everyday. These are called rebound headaches. Even over the counter drugs such as aspirin, Excedrin, Tylenol,etc. can actually give you a headache when taken on a regular basis. If you are taking these, you need to stop for a few days to break the cycle.

  4. Listening to your aunt who is a nurse seems a good idea!  Suggestion drink water only, work out a little and check your sinuses.  The caffeine in Coke could cause headache when you

    need more, caffeine is very suspect.

  5. I'd say it's from change of atmosphere, change of  lifestyle, or the most likely reason: stress.

    So I would start working out again. Try running, it's very relaxing with an ipod and makes you feel good inside. And you choose how long you run. If you need tips on running just ask me.

    Also make sure you're not stressed. Find something relaxing to do! Take an hour each day to just chill out and have fun.
