I have a pear tree thats about 7 years old, and it only

grows about 1 pear a year..

But It does grow these little tiny brown things (a little

tinier then a dime) that have brown spots all over them..

What are these little brown things?

And why doesn't it actually grow pears??

  1. the tiny brown thing could be pears that didnt quite make it.

maybe your tree doesnt grow pears, because u are not taking care of it quite right

    1. sunshine?

    2. water?

    3. soil? fertilizer?

    4. enough space for it to grow?

here is a website, it might help, its for older pear trees

or it can be suffering from a disease

  2. Without actually seeing the spots, it is hard to say.  Here are the possiblilities and info on each:

    Fabraea Leaf Spot:

    Fire Blight:

    Damage from Tarnished Plant Bug:

If it isn't one of these, I suggest contacting your local agriculture extension agent.  He or she will be able to accruately identify the problem and prescribe the best treatment for it.
