Read the purple box ! I'm sorry for you , I have the same thing ):

Just drink tons of fluids and BEG your mom for some meds . Nothing's worse than suffering for like ... a week . Best of luck !

  3. omg! thats not good! (not to worry u tho) ask ur mom to take u to a doc or explain to her everything thats going on!

  4. This happened to me when I was 13, too. I use to miss school on the first day. It will not always be this way, it will come and go. It gets better as you get older and may go away if you have children when you are older. However I still get diarrhea with the first 3 days of my period. The horomones released during your period can irritate the bowels, even though this is another system altogether. 1 advil and 2 imodium pills should make you feel better in 1 hour. Drink lots of water. If you have really heavy periods and a lot of pain go see a doctor for something stronger and to get a check-up. Hope you feel better soon.

  5. I usually have some intestinal issues around my time of the month, but it sounds like you're having some serious problems. Would your mom take you to a health food store and let you get some medicinal tea? That stuff usually at least tastes decent.

Try a diet of ginger ale and Saltines for a day, and be sure to stay hydrated. You're going through a lot of fluids right now, and dehydration could be causing some of your problems.

I'm not a doctor so that's all just my opinion.

I hope you feel better soon :(

  6. It is common to get a tummy upset when you  have your period. What happens is sometimes the tissue from the uterus can break away and irritate the bowls. You should see a doc because if it is really bad it can cause scaring and reduce your fertility. There are different ways of treating it, if it isn't too bad you can go on the pill and only have your period every three months, which puts less stress on your body and you don't get the tummy upset.

Most girls I know have this problem. But see a doc about it.

  7. I know its a girls only question, but I can help. You have all the common symptoms of the flu. I suggest seeing a doctor. You should stay in bed and drink plenty of fluids.

  8. The body retains excess water during the menstral cycle, which causes diarrhea, bloating, swelling, and tension. It's normal, and recommended that you drink lots of fluids to prevent dehydration.

  9. First few years of my menstrual life I had the same problem and missed a lot of school when my period came on.  I went for 8-10 days and it was sheer h**l, but this does fall into the normal patterns.  Frankly I took drugs.  I started late, nearly 17 and finished early at 48.  My mother had the same problems and started hers around age 15.  She was permitted to drink a glass of wine for hers, I got drugs for mine both legally and illegally.  I could not eat for first couple of days, cramps were unbearable and it took me a good 10 years to get over the diarrhea part which went away, but cramps never did until I went through menopause.  Are you small, relatively thin and short?  We were, not sure if that has anything to do with it, but believe me, you have a lot of sisters out here who've suffered from the curse...I even wanted to get a hysterectomy but was told I was too young so I just took drugs and outlived it.  You really need to get your mom to take you to the doctor and get some sort of prescription as no one should have to go through that.  Was so bad for me I avoided marriage and children because I thought pregnancy was going to be even worse.
