Why do I have dreams about arguing with my stepdad?

In reality, we have a pretty good relationship. We hardly ever fight (we use to in the past but that’s all over now), but in most of my dreams as of late we’re constantly at each other’s throats. Why am I having these dreams? Could it be some lingering grudges (that I’m unaware of) against him still in my heart?

it could be that in your dreams you can tell him how you are really feeling but awake you dont want to rock the boat

or it could mean nothing at all
