Either it's depression or you have Seasonal Affective Disorder, where people get depressed during the winter months where there is not much sunlight.

Well what is going on in your life that is hurting you. if you really do cry at night when the room is dark and the four walls close in on you then you must really be in pain. You just have to know...what is it. Why am I crying. You will be happy again hun, someday you will fall asleep with a smile again, excited about tomarow. You just have to belive it yourself.

There was an amazing actor, named Rod Steiger, who suffered with depression for 35 years, during an amazing acting career...some would swear that it was one of the reasons, he was so great, he utilized it during his brilliant performances....the fact is, that even the most brilliant, caring, loving people, can fall victim of depression...and you sound like to me, that you are just going through a broken heart, to be honest....some people think that they will never get over it and will never find another but you will...and you never know, I know it feels like death doesnt it...but be strong, put your faith in God and Jesus and if it is meant to be, it will happen again....have faith sweetheart, you are just a very sensitive person,...and so are any other guys out there who cry in silence,...God bless you all x*x

But since you think your gender has something to do with whether you should be prone to crying or not, i'm gonna go ahead and guess that you are under so much pressure to be macho and suppress tears that it's no longer possible for you and you're cracking under the pressure.

hey there Ghost I know this mite sound strange to you and others who will read this but I swear it's true! During me years of studying mental disorders I read an article that said that some people depression gets worse at night then better in the day! weird I know but its true! your not a baby coz u cry and it doesn't make u less of a man! please sweat-heart get some professional help for this and trust in our Lord and know u will get better there are lots of technique's and medicines out there that help depression.Also pay attention to your thought pattern right before u cry . You might have chemical depression. It can hit you at once so you feel sad and weepy all the time for no apparent reason. call your doctor ad make an appointment to see him or her and ask for some follow-up with a psychiatrist or psychologist. It might not have anything to do with your surroundings; it might just be a serotonin drop but usually there are some situational issues. It's better safe than sorry and don't worry, no one is going to think you're exaggerating or making it up because you're bored. you sound like you really do have a bit of a problem and the sooner you catch it the sooner you'll be well again. i hope you feel better soon!
