  1. Marco Lo - it's just regular eye mucus (tears). The mucus tends to thicken up (turn white and get sticky)  when your eyes are irritated (by dust, pollution) or if you get an eye infection (turn yellow or even green). Your eyes are self cleaning and most eye irritations and infections clear up in a day or so.  If the irritation lasts more than two days, see your eye doctor.  Also, you may get more mucus if you DON'T drink enough water or if you have a cold, flu or sinus infection. It's nothing to worry about.

Get yourself an eye bath cup from your local drugstore (about $1) or buy some Eye Wash (about $5 and comes with an eye bath cup). Every morning and evening or anytime your eyes have too much mucus just rinse them out a few times with plain water or Eye Wash. Cleansing your eyes with water or Eye Wash works better and is a lot cheaper than using eye drops.

Just an FYI - your natural tears are saline (have salt in them, this is why your tears taste salty). Using plain water may make your eyes feel dry. Eye wash has the same salinity as your natural tears and is very refreshing to your eyes but it also has preservatives in it that may irritate your eyes if you use it to much.

  2. Consult a doc n wash ur eyes daily with cold water....that is helpful....

  3. You without a doubt must see a Doctor. This could be an

infection. Allergy's. To you it should be a big red sign, Doctor...

  4. Yes go to the doctors,,

  5. Sounds like Conjunctivitis to me and a quick visit to the Docs would cure it....although going to a Chemist they can also prescribe the Eye Drops/Ointment you need to clear it !!

  6. smokers normally get it, so do alcholics , see a doc :)

  7. Well if the white part is red, and your eye sticks shut when u try to open it in the morning, you may have pink eye. Also it i s the time of the year for seasonal alergies could just be that. either way see a doctor.

  8. When the white of your eyes is yellowish it could signal a problem with your liver. I would see a dr to have this checked out.
