Why do I have such trouble getting subscribers on youtube?

Question

What are your tricks for getting more subs on youtube? I don't think my videos are bad or anything, I just don't think people have found them, and I've had my channel for nearly a year now.

Post video responses to more well known YouTubers. Some have got their start that way, and some were lucky enough to get featured. It sucks because I'm subscribed to some really cool people who have great videos deserve tons of viewers.

i get subs by asking how are my videos on Y!A.that helps advertise my youtube channel and get subscribers.also you tell your friends on youtube that you will subscribe to theirs and they will subscribe to yours. hope this helped and o ya...here is my youtube channel  http://www.youtube.com/user/sockwar

If they  were at all interesting people would recommend them to others. This is how to get more views.

Well i hate to say this but, Put somthing stupid,cartoony and LOADED with swares... guy will subscribe to you like CRAZY like...ummm hmmm i know, theres a guy on there names Machinima and he has WoW videos,Halo videos,Counter strike etc. and i laugh all the time at his videos and yet they're so stupid so try to make somthing similar but not a spoof/knockoff of his

Well just go on FRED'S channle and add him as a friend

then leave a comment on his channel sub4sub?

and people will start subsuscribing and they will tell you that you sub back

It is really hard because many people just have luck on home-made videos. I know how it feels cause i have the same problem. It suxx cuz its like "one hit wonder" andthen randomly they become famous. For instance: Smosh. They were being goofy for their first video, and now they are rated top subscribers (on the list).
