Question:

Why do I have this throbbing pain in my left foot?

I feel like screaming all the time. When I'm almost finished with my day at work, standing and walking all day, I begin to feel this throbbing pain in my left heel, so I start limping around. There's a kind of tightness to it. It's so horrible! I can barely walk 5 steps without having to sit, and feel like crawling on the ground. My feet are flat, and they're supposed to be curved. The other shoes I have feel fine when I stand up for extended periods of time, but when I'm in my work shoes, this problem is consistent. I do have to work a double shift every day at work. Does that have anything to do with it. I never stand nearly that long in my casual tennis shoes. I just got off work an hour ago and the pain won't stop!!

  1. If you got more comfortable work shoes that fit the arch of your feet better and maybe put in a gel bottom, my feet are flat and narrow.

so i usually wear vans, they have nice soles because people skate in them

  2. Try putting a Dr. Scholl's arch support in your shoes (for both feet) and see if that makes any difference. Having a flat arch tends to flatten out the angle of the heel bone, and this could be causing the pain you feel.
