  3. To have co-pays with your insurance means depending how the policy is structured the premiums are cheeper out of your pocket. I pay $100.00 a day for every day I am in the hospital up to five days, Then the rest is covered.

  4. It helps discourage you from going to the hospital every time you sneeze, or for splinters.  From putting in frivelous claims, in other words.  

    MOST health insurance policies have copays.
